What is reiki?
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that anyone can benefit from. Reiki is not part of a religious practice. It is an energy healing technique that promotes the body's natural ability to heal itself that is effective for people of any age and background.
Reiki focuses on seven main energy centers (chakras) in the body. The energy should flow freely through your chakras in order for you to be spiritually, physically, and mentally healthy.
why should I receive reiki?
Western medicine has embraced the use of Reiki in conjunction with other medical and/or therapeutic techniques. According to research studies, patients were found to have reductions in chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and even post surgical recovery times. Reiki helps relieve pain or discomfort from cancer or other diseases. Clients that have undergone chemotherapy treatment and received Reiki reported feeling better and had less nausea.
By receiving one Reiki session, clients experience an increased energy level and feelings of calmness, peace, and well-being. Additional benefits of receiving the energy healing from Reiki include:

Reiki in hospitals
Reiki is now one of the top three complementary in-patient therapies in U.S. hospitals, according to an AHA survey. Massage therapy takes first place, with 37% of hospital patients requesting it. Number two is music and art therapy at 25%, and a very close third is “healing touch therapies” at 25%, which included Reiki and Therapeutic Touch.
Research conducted at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT, showed that Reiki used during pregnancy reduced anxiety by 94 percent, reduced nausea by 80 percent, reduced pain by 78 percent, and improved sleep by 86 percent. (https://iarp.org/reiki-clinical-setting/)

What will my reiki session be like?
Reiki treatments last 1-hour and work to heal the mind, body, spirit and soul.
For in-person sessions:
• I will ask you to share any specific intentions for your session. Examples include: physical pain you are experiencing, emotions weighing heavy on you, or you may feel that you need an overall balancing.
• You will lay fully clothed on a massage table face up. I will ask you to close your eyes and take a few deep, relaxing breaths.
• All Reiki Practitioners practice a little differently. I have found involving clients in their treatment has been most successful. I ask questions as I scan your body. This may be related to physical pain or emotions I may be picking up that you are feeling that were not previously discussed. Then I will work with you to release the negative energy so that you are able to heal.
• When your session is complete, we take about 10 minutes to reflect on the findings.
Distance Reiki: Distance Reiki is an option for those who are outside of my practice area or have challenges limiting travel. You will enjoy a relaxing session in the comfort of your own space. Even when receiving Reiki distantly, you will be amazed with the results!

Welcome to Fifth Dimension Healing! I am April Perry. I'll be honest, when I decided to learn Reiki I did not have intentions of starting a business. Helping others has always been a passion of mine. This passion went off the rails after I saw first hand the benefits of energy healing.
